This social history project is collating personal accounts from people who have served since World War II. Within the National Curriculum there is very little available in education raising awareness of people who have served in conflicts since. Our project is aimed at educating students and raising awareness for charities who help support people who have served and are now heroes walking amongst us.
Since World War II
We have captured people tales and stories in recalling historical accounts in which they were involved, these interviews have had very little editing and are indeed their own accounts of the conflicts and countries in which they served.
We have interviewed the majority of the accounts on video. These interviews were conducted by our volunteers. The videos captured will be stored for prosperity at the Imperial War Museum for future generations to use and account a social account of there experiences in the Armed Services.
